I read that book, too. But I thought Carmen was no good. First of all, she sold out Nas terribly and presented him in the worst possible light. And why would she be with men repeatedly who obviously disrespected her and only looked at her like a piece of ass? We've all been in compromising situations, but the intelligent women learn from the first few mistakes and graduate. Instead Carmen milked it and exploited herself as much as she could and now she's selling everybody out in the tackiest way possible by revealing everyone's most embarassing shit. That reflects more poorly on her. Also, you're right. She's a terrible writer, has no command of grammar or storytelling, which at least Superhead's book had going for it. I just thought she was another tramp trying to cake off on her exploits. And she demeans women everywhere who are seriously trying to write literature.
